When a project of upgrading a suburban street gas main connection started being put into place, the contractors were required to draw up a safe system of work. The maintenance that was planned involved excavating across the front of each property, in order to access the gas line connectors and to permit engineers to connect the new lines.

The no-dig safety solution
Providing Vacuum Excavation support was the top solution to ensure that site safety was dealt with accordingly and to also prevent any potential hazards. The self-contained suction units allowed each connector to be excavated without the need to create large piles of ground spoil along the residential street.
Once all utility connected were efficiently located and marked outside each individual house, the precision control of the Vacuum Excavator ensured that minimum excavation was required.
